Best Contact Solution I Have Used I have tried different types of contact solutions over the years and this one seems to work the best for me and my very dry eyes. I use it with Acuvue Oasys lenses, and I have had them in for about 19 hours now and there is no discomfort whatsoever. At night, I pour a little bit of this solution in the palm of my hand and rub the contact in it for a few seconds. Then I rinse both sides of each contact for 5 seconds as the box states. After I put them in the lens case I add a drop of the Opti-Free Supra Clens Protein Remover (can be bought from Amazon), and then let them sit for 6 hours+. When I am ready to wear the contacts I rinse them really quickly with the Replenish before I put them in (second rinsing is only required if you use the Supra Clens). The contacts are extremely comfortable and there is no initial burning or anything that you get with some solutions. I have also used this product without the Supra Clens and the lenses are still comfortable, but I have found that with the Supra Clens the lenses are even more comfortable. If you are trying to decide between the Opti-Free Express and the Replenish, I would recommend the Replenish. I used to use the Express and the Replenish does a better job of cleaning the contacts, which justifies the higher price. Of course everyone's experience may vary. Good luck. Horrible allergic reaction If you are prone to allergies you may want to think twice about this product. My optometrist recommended this cleaning system for me when I got my contacts (no surprise, his office was decked out in Alcon adverts). I used it for the first 9 months that I had my contacts with relatively few problems. Then suddenly my eyes started getting extremely red (but only mildly itchy and painful). Even after I would take the contacts out, my eyes would remain red for up to a week before they cleared up. Through a process of elimination, I finally realized it was the solution because the first day with a new pair of lenses (which come in a sterile saline) I would have no problems. The second day after they had been cleaned with this solution, my eyes would go nuts and I'd look like I had pinkeye by the end of the day. I did a ton of online searching on the various brands and I found many other accounts of allergic reactions to RepleniSH similar to my own. Several of those afflicted report that allergies run in their families (they do in mine). I switched to Renu Multiplus and have had no problems. I also saw several recommendations for Aquify and 'preservative free' solutions. One person even said they did not have problems with Opti-Free Express, but only with Opti-Free RepleniSH. Great for disposable lens, too I have tried many brands of lens solution over the years and while none of them have been completely terrible, I think this Replenish is the best for me. I also wear Acuvue Oasys disposable contact lens (I think another reviewer has the same) and find this solution works very well. If I'm going to have a problem with contact lens it's that at the end of a very long day, my eyes start to get blurry and my lens start to move around slightly, telling me they are drying out. Since I have been using this Replenish solution, I have not had this problem even once. I think lens solutions work differently for different people but I'm glad this solution makes it comfortable for me to wear contact lens.
